Teacher faces investigation over fake document
From RABI`U ABDU FAGGE, Gusau
ZAMFARA state anti-corruption commission has began investigation into the case of alleged fake examination result belonging to a teacher name (withheld) with the state female education board.
Addressing newsmen in Gusau, the chairman of the commission, Alhaji Muhammad Dansanda Maru stated that the teacher brought the case claiming threat by the board to dismiss him from service if he fails to produce his NCE certificate which he said has not been released by the authority.
According to Alhaji Maru, the commission contacted the female education board which inturn produced a document from Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto stating that the statement of result prsented by the teacher was fake.
The chairman explained that the teacher gave his commission another document signed by a senior officer of Shehu Shagari College of Education confirming the authenticity of the result.
He noted that a team of investigators from the commission were dispatchded to Sokoto state to ascertain the true picture of the whole issue which according to him confirmed that the statement of result presented by the teacher was fake.
Alhaji Maru confirmed that the Female Education Board has been informed to accordingly take appropriate action while investigation continues to ascertain the actual source of the fake document purported to be obtained from Shehu Shagari College of Education.
