Northern Senator want region ministry--Sen. Turaki

SENATOR Ibrahim Saminu Turaki has said the northern senators are advocating for the establishment of ministry to oversee the multiple problems of the region.
Senator Saminu disclosed this while briefing Journalist on their second day of their retreat in Kano.
He said northern region is facing so many problems for long which attract the attention of federal government to establish the ministry for effective solution.
"Federal government now established the ministry of Niger Delta to solve the problem of the region, that is why we are also advocating the same ministry to look over the problems of our region." Turaki explained.
He explained that there is need for the federal government to fully utilize the agricultural potentials of the region to create job to the teaming youth of the region.
Speaking about his relationship with Sule Lamido Senator Turaki described the relationship as cordial unlike other people insinuated.
Also speaking, senator Muhammad Bello said the House came to Kano to see the nature of problem which bedeviling the region.
"We decided to came to north to see things on ground for example there is desert encroachment in Sokoto in Jigawa over 80% of the industries have closed down. So we are here to see such problems and propose solution to them." Senator Bello explained.
