Jigawa impressed with pilgrims’ airlift

JIGAWA state deputy governor, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Gumel has expressed satisfaction with the manner the state’s intending pilgrims are being airlifted to Holyland
The deputy governor who was at the Kano Pilgrims Camp to inspect the airlift of the intending pilgrims to    the Holyland, though the airlift started a little late, it is however, orderly and without much hitch.
He stated that Jigawa state will continue to be on the forefront among states in Hajj preparation, pointing out that the state government is very much committed to a successful Hajj exercise.
Speaking on the State Pilgrims Welfare Board, the deputy governor commended the state Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Sulaiman Usman Muhammad for his unrelenting efforts at ensuring the smooth airlift of Jigawa intending pilgrims.
He added that the secretary has been sharing greater concern in the improvement of the welfare of the state pilgrims, pointing out that some of such welfare packages include feeding of pilgrims at the Holyland, provision of Ihram, mattresses among others.
The deputy governor had earlier during the inspection visit, urged the intending pilgrims to be law-abiding so as to achieve an acceptable Hajj, stressing the need for them to do the state and Nigeria proud.
