Fire incidents: KNSG appoints 10-man investigative panel
FOLLOWING recent fire incidents at the headquarters of the State Board of Internal Revenue and Government Printing Press, the Kano government has approved the composition of a 10-man committee to investigate the immediate and remote causes of the inferno at the two organizations.
A press release signed by Kabiru Salisu Koki, Press Secretary to the Secretary to the State Government, indicated that Alhaji Umaru Muhammad Kankarofi, (retired Head of Service) is to serve as the chairman, while the members include pepresentatives of the Director, State Security Service; representative of the commissioner of police; Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Kankarofi, Permanent Secretary, Special Services and Council Affairs Directorate, and Malam Isa Ahmad, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport.
Other members are Alhaji Faruk Lawal Yola, Permanent Secretary, ministry of finance; Alhaji Umar Muhammad Soron Dinki, Director State Fire Service, Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport; Alhaji Salisu Sambajo and Hajiya Rabi Sahel, while Alhaji Usman Bala, Deputy Secretary, Special Duties, SSG's Office will serve as secretary.
The committee will be inaugurated tomorrow at the deputy governor's office by 11:00 a.m and all members are invited to attend accordingly.
