Bichi, Shekarau case adjourned again

THE Federal Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna yesterday has once again adjourned hearing in the appeal filed by the gubernatorial candiadate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kano state, Alhaji Ahmad Garba Bichi who is challenging the election of Malam Ibrahim Shekarau of the ANNP in the last general election.
Justice of the Federal Court of Appeal, Baba Ba’aba and his co-judge have granted the prayer requested by the counsel of the appallent, Barr. Emmanual Toro that the Court shall allow him to put his papers in order for proper hearing the case.
The court therefore granted his prayer and fixed 30th of October for the proper hearing in the election petition appeal.
The Chairman of All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, in Kano state, Alhaji Sani Hashim Hotoro expressed optimism that Governor Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano state will be victorious at the end of the case.
Hotoro who disclosed this shortly after the adjournment of the case, said that based on what they have seen in the court, there is hope that Malam Shekarau will win the case adding: ‘’The party is having full confidence that the court will give the case a fair hearing.’’
He, therefore, called on the good people of Kano state to countinue to support the present government’s progra-mmes with prayers with a view to having more meaningful development in the state.
Those who accompanied the chairman included the state treasurer, executive director and many well wishers.
