BAsG uncovers plans to cause breach of peace
From SULE ALIYU, Bauchi
Bauchi state government Tuesday alerted the general public on the activities of some unscrupulous and undesirable elements who have perfected plans to cause breach of peace in the state by using religion to achieving this end.
The government therefore, warned any person, group of persons or associations intent on causing breach of peace to desist from such evil agenda or face the wrath of the law .
A press statement signed and issued by the state commissioner of information, Alh. Mohd A. Abdullahi a copy of which was made available to Daily Triumph in Bauchi said.
he added that, those undesirable elements have been working hard to create religious disharmony among followers of various religious in the state in order to create fear in the minds of the citizenry which they think will result in the breakdown of law and order.
Alhaji.Abdullahi said that, government will deal ruthlessly with anybody found to be engaged in promoting anything capable of disturbing public peace in the state
He stressed that ,ths state government observed that the perpetrators of this dastardly act are uncomfortable with the performance of the present administration in the restoration and rebuilding of the state which earned it the World Bank ranking as the most investor friendly state in Nigeria
Alhaji. Abdullahi further explained that,the government will neither be distracted nor intimidated to waiver in its commitments to continue uplifting Bauchi to a poverty free state and continue with all it could do to make state among the prosperity states through the execution of people-oriented programmes for the good of the people.
He noted that, the present administration urging all law-abiding citizens to go about their normal activities as government has put in place all necessary measures to stop any unwanted act against the state and its people by those people that harbouring evil intention.
Government also appealed to all traditional, religious and community leaders to caution their followers to observe peace and report anybody with suspicious inclination to the law enforcement agencies.
