...As Hisbah guards advised to buckle up
HISBAH guards in Takai local government area of Kano state have been advised to redouble effort in discharging their duties.
Assistant Commander General (operation), state Hisbah Board, Malam Kabiru Dabo stated this while presenting a paper a one-day seminar organized by the state Hisbah Board to the Hisbah guards in Takai.
Malam Dabo urged the Hisbah guards in the area to further their education to ensure successful operation in the area.
In his remarks, the Assistant Commander-General of the state Hisbah Board (Da`awa), Malam Murtala Muhammad said, the aim of the seminar is to review and encourage the guards to discharge their duties effectively.
Also speaking, the Hisbah Commandant in the area, Muhammad Ali Yakamata, thanked the state board for the initiatives.
In another development, Takai local government has distributed relief materials worth N250,000 to the victims of the disaster in the area.
The relief materials include, 25 bags of maize, blankets, small mats, 10 bundles of yards to each victim and real wax to the female victims.
Speaking during the distribution of the materials chairman of Takai local government, Alhaji Muhammad Baffa said relief materials were not meant to compensate them from what they have lost, but to relieve them of the experience they encountered.
